RescueMe! mobile application
RescueMe was developed in the early 2010’s for iOS devices. By tapping the “Rescue Me!” button this application sent geo location to twitter followers, Facebook friends, and to email accounts users set, as well as to mobile phones with SMS (text) and APS capabilities in a minute. It came in the form of longitude and latitude coordinates, a map link, and a help message (which they could set) to ensure they can be found. It even worked with iPad where WiFi or 3G/4G data access was available. It helped users send exact GPS location without misspelling any numbers and presented a map on other devices joined to their ad-hoc group.
